Christmas Charities of Jackson County Announce Assistance Program for Families in Need

Jackson County, GA — Families in Jackson County who may need a little extra support this holiday season can apply for assistance from Christmas Charities of Jackson County. The organization is offering holiday help based on household size and income, ensuring that families in need receive gifts and support during Christmas.

Household income limits are as follows: $1,632 for a single-person household, $2,215 for two people, $2,798 for three, $3,380 for four, $3,963 for five, $4,546 for six, and $5,129 for seven. For each additional household member, the income limit increases by $583.

Residents who think they qualify are asked to bring the following items to the distribution sites: a picture ID, Social Security cards for everyone in the household, proof of food stamps (if applicable), proof of income through a current pay stub, and a current utility bill in the name of the head of the household.

Distribution sites and dates include:

  • Dutton/Town Hall/Library: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, September 16–18, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

  • Flat Rock/North Sand MTN/Byrant: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, September 18–20, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

  • Pisgah/Rosalie: Tuesday, September 16, and Wednesday, September 17, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

  • Rosalie Community Center: Thursday, September 18, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

  • Jackson County DHR: Monday–Friday, September 15–19, 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

  • Section/Macedonia: Tuesday, September 16, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.

  • Stevenson/Fackler: Monday, September 15, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., and Wednesday, September 17, noon–5 p.m.

  • Bridgeport – Bridgeport Lions Club Building: Tuesday, September 16, and Thursday, September 18, 1–4 p.m.

Organizers note that applicants should apply at the center nearest their home. There will be no make-up days, and only one person per family is allowed in the building at a time to ensure safety.
