Chicken House Destroyed by Fire in Flat Rock, Alabama

FLAT ROCK, Ala. — A large chicken house was destroyed by fire Saturday, April 11, in the Flat Rock area of Alabama.

According to Tri-Community Fire Department Station 5, crews responded to reports of a fire on County Road 324. Upon arrival and recognizing the severity of the blaze, firefighters quickly requested mutual aid from multiple surrounding departments.

Despite the intensity of the fire, officials report that no injuries occurred.

The structure, however, was declared a total loss.

In a statement, Tri-Community Higdon Station 1 expressed appreciation to those involved in the response.

“We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who assisted, and we look forward to the next opportunity to serve.”

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
