RINGGOLD, GA — On October 1st, 2025, Damien Doming was sentenced
to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of Aggravated Sodomy on a Child Less than Ten Years of
Age, Aggravated Child Molestation, Incest, and Child Molestation. The case stemmed from the 2024
disclosure of a nine-year-old child who revealed that Doming, a former step-father, had sexually
assaulted the child when they lived together in Ringgold.
The case was investigated by former Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office Detective Brittany
Gilleland and tried by Senior Assistant District Attorney Beth Evans, with support from Victim
Advocate Shelby Armstrong, Chief Investigator Christy Smith, Investigator Daniel Thacker, and
Administrative Assistants Rachel Moon and Annabelle Carter. Forensic interviews were conducted by
Senior Forensic Interviewer Holly Kittle of the Children’s Advocacy Center— a critical partner in
protecting the circuit’s children led by Director Anthony Dye.
Catoosa County Superior Court Judge Chris Arnt sentenced Doming to serve Life in prison.
“In Northwest Georgia we don’t play with multiple arrests,” said District Attorney Clayton M.
Fuller. “If you harm the most vulnerable in our circuit — the ones we have a duty as men to protect —
we are going to find you, hunt you down, and put you in prison for the rest of your miserable life.”
