Dade Middle School saw some excitement on Monday morning, but Superintendent Dr. Jan Harris assured parents everything was fine.
EMS responded to DMS about an hour into the school day as a student needed medical treatment. While there, the elevator malfunctioned and set off the fire alarm. The student was transported to the hospital and all other issues are resolved.
At 10 am, Harris sent out a general message to parents letting them know that all was well at the school.
