A former Dade county man is behind bars accused in the death of a 6-month-old baby. Seth Jones, 29 years old, now of Soddy Daisy was arrested last week and charged with criminal homicide with the September 21st death of the 6-month-old baby girl. According to reports, Jones told Soddy Daisy police that the child had fallen off the couch, but then earlier this year Jones told officers that he became frustrated and spun around in frustration and the child hit a television stand.
Hamilton County Medical examiner Dr. James Metcalfe has ruled the incident a homicide with the cause being blunt force trauma. Jones was arrested and has since been booked in the Silverdale detention center. Bail has been set at $620,000.
