The Dade County Sheriff’s Office is warning about a text scam.
The Sheriff’s Office said the Probate Court system has just been alerted to a scam that is circulating. If you receive a text message in regards to renewing your “pistol permit” with a link to follow, do not open or visit that site.
The Probate Court does not text you or require payment via text message.
