48th Annual New Salem Mountain Festival Returns October 11–12
Mark your calendars and make plans to head up the mountain for one of Dade County’s favorite fall traditions — the 48th Annual New Salem Mountain Festival, happening This Weekend Saturday and Sunday, October 11–12, on Lookout Mountain
Set against the scenic backdrop of Lookout Mountain, the festival will take place at 12477 Highway 136 and run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Visitors can expect two full days of art, music, food, and Appalachian charm. The event features dozens of artisans showcasing handcrafted goods, local musicians providing live entertainment, and plenty of delicious Southern favorites to enjoy — from homemade pies to barbecue and kettle corn.
Celebrating nearly five decades of mountain culture, the New Salem Mountain Festival continues to bring together neighbors and visitors for a weekend filled with creativity, community, and the colors of fall.
