The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a train and vehicle collision that sent two people to the hospital, one of whom had to be life-flighted from the scene.
Dade County deputies say it happened around 7pm. Sunday night off Highway 11 and Morgan Road in the New England community.
It’s believed the driver failed to stop at the rail crossing and was struck by the oncoming train
Deputies say the impact sent the Honda Odyssey spinning into a nearby building and boat.
The driver is described as a 35 year old woman; the passenger identified as a 23 year old male. Both taken from the scene suffering significant injury.
