The Atlanta Braves begin a new three-game series Monday night as the New York Mets make the trip to Truist Park for a National League East matchup.
Atlanta enters the series with a 71-47 record on the season and has enjoyed plenty of success in front of the home crowd. The Braves are 39-20 at Truist Park heading into Monday night’s opener and will look to add another home victory against a familiar division rival.
New York enters the series with a 52-67 overall record and a 27-33 mark on the road. Despite the difference in the two teams’ records, division matchups can always provide plenty of drama, and the Braves will look to make sure the Mets don’t gain any early momentum in the three-game set.
Atlanta will be looking to start the week strong as the Braves continue through the August portion of their schedule. With the postseason race continuing to take shape, the Braves will look to capitalize on their home-field advantage and pick up an important series victory.
Monday night’s game is the first of three between Atlanta and New York, with first pitch scheduled for 7:15 p.m. at Truist Park.
