There will be no tomorrow for one of the National League East rivals when the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies meet Thursday night in Game 3 of the National League Wild Card Series.
The series is tied 1-1 following two dramatic games at Truist Park. Atlanta won Game 1 before Philadelphia fought back Wednesday, scoring twice in the eighth inning and getting a solo home run from Alec Bohm in the 10th to win Game 2, 4-3.
That sets up a winner-take-all showdown Thursday night in Atlanta. The Braves finished the regular season 94-68, while Philadelphia entered the postseason at 88-74.
Atlanta is expected to open the game with left-hander Ray Kerr before turning to Grant Holmes for the bulk of the innings. Philadelphia plans to start veteran right-hander Aaron Nola.
The winner advances to take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series, while the losing team’s season comes to an end.
First pitch is scheduled for approximately 8:15 p.m. Thursday at Truist Park.
