Library Happenings: Cozy Reading Month Kicks Off at the Dade County Public Library

Bundle up and get ready to read! The Dade County Public Library, part of the Cherokee Regional Library System, is inviting readers of all ages to take part in “Cozy Reading Month,” a fun and relaxing Winter Reading Challenge through Beanstack.

Participants are encouraged to sip some hot cocoa, dive into great books, and enjoy themed activities while earning virtual badges and collecting fun prizes along the way. The challenge is designed to celebrate the magic of the winter season and make reading cozy and enjoyable for everyone.

How to Participate

  • Log in to your Beanstack account and select
    “Dade Winter Reading 2026: Cozy Reading Month.”

  • Don’t have a Beanstack account? You can create one using your library card
    (PLAY Card or traditional card accepted), or stop by the library for help.

Important Dates

  • Registration begins: December 18

  • Challenge runs: January 1 – January 31

The Winter Reading Challenge is open to all ages, making it a perfect activity for kids, teens, adults, and families to enjoy together during the colder months.
