Case to run for Dade County Executive

SHARE NOW

Hello, my name is Daniel Case. After much prayer and consideration, I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Dade County Executive and Commission Chairperson.

As a lifelong resident of Dade County, not only did I grow up here and graduate from Dade County schools, but I have also raised my family here. My beautiful wife of 25 years, Lori, shares my passion for serving others. She has been a first-grade teacher at Dade Elementary School for the past 17 years. We have two wonderful kids, Ethan and Makenna, who also graduated from Dade County schools and are now in college. Ethan will be graduating this spring from Northeast Alabama Community College, and Makenna will be graduating next spring from Jacksonville State University. We attend and serve the Lord at Calvary Chapel Church.

My family has been deeply rooted in Dade County since the late 1800’s. My grandfather began a local business here on the square over 100 years ago. My father, Larry, and I continued as local business owners for many years. Through hard work and daily commitment, we successfully grew that business to become a strong retail provider for our community, and it is still a thriving local business to this day. As my father retired and we began a new chapter here, I launched another local company, MEED Forestry. MEED Forestry is located here in Dade County to help meet the needs of our community. Today, we are still successfully providing local services for the residents of Dade County.

My commitment to our community is very strong. As soon as I was old enough to begin formal community service, I joined the Trenton Fire Department Station 1 to contribute to the safety and well-being of others. When I grew older, I also recognized the importance of local business and industry, and I began serving on the Dade County Chamber of Commerce, where I later served as Chamber president. Adding to my variety of service positions, and having two children who came through the Dade County school system, it was important to me to also be actively involved in our local school board. It is an honor and privilege to serve on the Dade County School Board of Education, and I am currently in my second term.

To simply say that I have a heart for Dade County and the people in it, would be an understatement. We have a wonderful community full of great people, and it is my intention to do all I can to continue making Dade County an excellent place to live, work, and raise a family. I believe I can do this through managing the inevitable growth of our county by serving as
County Executive and Chairperson for the Dade County Board of Commissioners.

At the age of 44, I have a lot to offer this county from understanding what is required to launch and grow successful businesses, implementing new and innovative ideas for our future, stewardship of our resources, and preserving our heritage. My commitment is to fully serve Dade County to the best of my ability.

As my wife and I look forward to the future of our kids getting married and
growing our family, we will work hard to make sure Dade County remains a great place to live and raise children and grandchildren. Please vote to elect me, Daniel Case, as Dade County’s next County Executive/Commission
Chairperson. As a mindful team, we will serve the citizens of Dade County to build a brighter future for us all.

Candidate for Dade County Executive and Commission Chair
