The Chattanooga Mocs men’s basketball team will look to bounce back from its season-opening loss when it travels to Pennsylvania to face the Penn State Nittany Lions tonight, Thursday, November 5.
Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Eastern, with live radio coverage beginning at 5:30 p.m. on WFLI The Big One.
Chattanooga enters the matchup with an 0-1 record after dropping its season opener against Louisville earlier this week. The Mocs will be looking to earn their first victory of the 2026-27 campaign against another major-conference opponent.
Penn State, meanwhile, enters the contest with a 1-0 record and will look to remain unbeaten while playing on its home court.
The matchup presents another early-season challenge for Chattanooga as the Mocs continue their nonconference schedule against competition from some of college basketball’s major conferences.
For Chattanooga, establishing consistency on both ends of the floor will be important as the team looks to improve from its opening performance. The Mocs will need a strong defensive effort and efficient offensive execution to challenge the Nittany Lions on the road.
Penn State will look to take advantage of its home-court setting and build momentum following its season-opening victory.
Tonight’s contest also provides Chattanooga with another opportunity to gain valuable experience before turning its attention toward Southern Conference competition later in the season.
Fans across Northwest Georgia and the Tennessee Valley can follow the action live on WFLI The Big One, broadcasting on 96.1 FM, 100.3 FM and 1070 AM.
Pregame coverage begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by tipoff between Chattanooga and Penn State at 6 p.m. Eastern.
According to UTC Athletics, Chattanooga fell 84-70 to No. 11 Louisville on Monday but outscored the Cardinals 35-28 in the second half. Head coach Dan Earl also returns to his alma mater, Penn State, where he was a three-time team captain and an All-Big Ten selection.
