Prayer on the Square Planned Monday Evening in Downtown Trenton
DADE COUNTY, Ga. — Community members are being invited to gather Monday evening for “Prayer on the Square,” a day of prayer for Dade County.
The gathering is scheduled for Monday, November 2, at 5:30 p.m. in downtown Trenton.
Organizers say the event comes at a time when recent headlines have caused concern and discouragement within the community. The gathering is intended to bring residents together to pray for healing and positive change throughout Dade County.
The event is centered around 2 Chronicles 7:14, which calls on God’s people to humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways.
Organizers say prayers will focus specifically on healing in the community, healing and protection for children, and prayer for local government and its leaders. Participants will also pray for God’s guidance over the community and those chosen to serve in positions of leadership.
Those who are unable to attend in person are being encouraged to pause at 5:30 p.m. Monday and pray from wherever they are, joining those gathered in downtown Trenton.
The invitation is open to the entire community, regardless of church affiliation.
Prayer on the Square begins at **5:30 p.m. Monday, November 2, in downtown Trenton. Everyone is welcome.
