The NASCAR Cup Series takes on one of its toughest challenges Sunday evening as the Cook Out Southern 500 hits the track at historic Darlington Raceway.
The green flag is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET Sunday, September 6, with drivers facing 367 laps and 501.32 miles around the track known as “The Lady in Black.”
Race fans can hear the action on WFLI The Big One, 96.1 FM, 100.3 FM and 1070 AM.
WFLI will first carry Atlanta Braves baseball Sunday afternoon. Following the conclusion of the Braves game, WFLI will join live coverage of the Cook Out Southern 500 already in progress from Darlington Raceway.
The Southern 500 is one of NASCAR’s crown-jewel events, with Darlington’s narrow racing groove and distinctive egg-shaped layout providing a demanding test for drivers and teams.
