The Atlanta Braves are back on the diamond Sunday afternoon for another important September battle with the Philadelphia Phillies, with all the action airing on Classic Hits K-WIN.
The Braves enter the day at 84-58 and remain in first place in the National League East. Philadelphia is 80-62 and trails Atlanta by four games in the division race.
The first two games of the four-game weekend series have been split. Atlanta took Friday’s opener 5-2 before the Phillies bounced back Saturday with a 4-2 victory.
Sunday gives the Braves an opportunity to move another step closer to at least a series split while also protecting their advantage over Philadelphia in the NL East standings.
Tyler Mahle is expected to get the start for Atlanta, while veteran right-hander Aaron Nola is slated to take the mound for Philadelphia.
The Braves are 36-34 on the road this season, while the Phillies have posted a 39-31 record at home.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. Eastern Sunday at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
