The Atlanta Braves begin a new road series Monday night, traveling to Target Field to take on the Minnesota Twins in the first game of a three-game set.
Atlanta comes into Monday’s matchup at 74-50 overall, including a 32-27 record on the road. The Braves closed out their weekend with a 5-3 victory over Arizona on Sunday, getting a three-run home run from Matt Olson to help secure the win.
Left-hander Martín Pérez gets the ball for Atlanta in the opener. Pérez is 8-6 with a 2.96 ERA this season and enters Monday’s start having thrown 18 consecutive scoreless innings.
The Twins enter the series at 60-65 overall and 32-31 at Target Field. Minnesota has dropped three straight games after being swept by Philadelphia over the weekend. Bailey Ober is scheduled to start for the Twins, carrying a 7-4 record and 4.64 ERA into the matchup.
With the regular season moving into its later stages, Atlanta will look to take advantage of the series against Minnesota and begin its road trip with a victory.
