It’s a rubber match tonight at Truist Park as the Atlanta Braves host the New York Mets in the finale of their three-game National League East series.
The Braves improved to 72-48 with Tuesday night’s 4-0 victory, evening the series after New York took the opener. Martín Pérez delivered six shutout innings for Atlanta, and the Braves bullpen kept the Mets off the scoreboard the rest of the way. Ozzie Albies hit his 20th home run of the season, while Matt Olson added his 35th.
Atlanta will now look to finish the homestand against New York with a series victory. Tyler Mahle is set to take the mound for the Braves in his first start at Truist Park since joining Atlanta, while Zac Thornton is scheduled to start for the Mets.
The Mets enter the night at 53-68 and 28-34 away from home, while the Braves are 40-21 at Truist Park.
