Dade County Commissioners to Discuss Elections Building, Board Appointments, and FY27 Budget at June 4 Meetings
TRENTON, GA — The Dade County Board of Commissioners will hold its monthly workshop and regular meeting on Thursday, June 4, at the Dade County Administrative Building.
The workshop session is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by the regular monthly meeting..
During the workshop, commissioners are expected to review personnel matters, consider several board appointments, and receive updates on county projects and finances. Agenda items include the reappointment of Leisa Cagle to the Public Library Board of Trustees, the appointment of a member to the Department of Family and Children Services Board, and proclamations recognizing Parks and Recreation Month and Men’s Health Month during June.
Commissioners will also receive a monthly update on the ongoing Elections Building Construction Project, which continues to be funded through SPLOST capital equipment allocations.
Another item on the workshop agenda is a presentation from Paula Duvall, Chief Appraiser, regarding 2026 property values and assessment notices. Commissioners will also announce details regarding the upcoming public hearing process for the county’s Fiscal Year 2027 budget.
During the regular meeting, commissioners will hear reports from county officials, including district commissioner updates and an executive update from County Executive Don Townsend.
Presentations are also scheduled from Sandy White, President and CEO of Alliance for Dade and the Dade County Chamber of Commerce; Laura Beth Cunningham with UGA Extension Dade County’s 4-H program; and Lydia Soucy, Manager of the Dade County Public Library.
Commissioners are expected to consider approval of monthly financial reports and investments, along with action on items discussed during the workshop session.
Both meetings are open to the public and will be held in the Commissioners’ Public Meeting Room at the Dade County Administrative Building.
