Free Medicare Education Event Sponsored by The Bank of Dade

Residents looking for help understanding Medicare will have an opportunity to get answers during a free educational event sponsored by The Bank of Dade later this month.

The Medicare education session is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Dade County Historic Courthouse.

Organizers say the event is designed to provide clear and honest information about Medicare in a relaxed, no-pressure setting with no sales pitch or obligation.

Topics expected to be covered include how to avoid telemarketing calls, enrolling in Medicare at age 65 without penalties, understanding the differences between Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage plans, common mistakes to avoid, and how to find trustworthy Medicare guidance.

The event is open to individuals approaching Medicare eligibility, current Medicare beneficiaries, caregivers, family members, and anyone wanting a better understanding of Medicare options — especially residents in rural communities.

Light refreshments will be provided during the event.

The free community event is being sponsored by The Bank of Dade.
