Officials say the purpose of the joint work session is to allow local governmental entities to review operations, discuss ongoing projects, and coordinate future initiatives that may impact multiple agencies and benefit the citizens of Dade County.
These joint meetings are held twice a year, typically on the last Thursday in March and September, to improve communication and collaboration between local agencies.
Leadership of the meetings will rotate among officials, including the Mayor, County Executive, and the chairpersons of the participating boards.
Officials note that the work session is intended for discussion and coordination purposes and does not alter the authority or responsibilities of any individual governing body.
The meeting is open to the public.
