President Trump to Visit Northwest Georgia on February 19

ROME, Ga. — President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Northwest Georgia on Thursday, February 19, according to the White House.

The president will appear in Rome, Georgia, located in the heart of Georgia’s 14th Congressional District. The White House says Trump will deliver remarks focused on affordability and the economy, followed by a visit to a local business.

During a press conference on Monday, February 16, Trump confirmed the trip and referenced the ongoing special election for the open 14th District congressional seat.

“Well, we have a lot of people that want to take Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene’s place, and many, many candidates, and I have to choose one,” Trump told reporters. “They say whoever I endorse is going to win. But we have a lot of good candidates that want to take her place.”

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump announced his full endorsement of Clay Fuller, the former District Attorney from Dade County, in the race for the 14th Congressional District seat.

The visit comes as early voting is underway for the special election to fill the vacancy. Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene vacated the seat in January.

The White House said the president’s visit will highlight what the administration describes as efforts to raise real wages and accelerate economic growth.
