TRENTON, GA — Downtown Trenton came alive on Saturday, April 26, as the highly anticipated Mingle on the Square event kicked off its 2025 season with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the grand opening of the Lula Lake Farmers Market. The event, held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., featured live music, local vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly activities, drawing residents and visitors to the heart of the city.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, officiated by Trenton Mayor Lyle O’Neal, officially launched the market, which will operate every Saturday through November. “Today marks a new chapter for our community,” said Mayor O’Neal. “Mingle on the Square is more than just a market; it’s a celebration of our local talent, farmers, and artisans. It’s a place where we come together to support each other and enjoy the vibrant culture of Trenton.”
The market, presented by the Lula Lake Farmers Market, boasted a wonderful lineup of offerings. Shoppers found farm-fresh produce, handmade crafts, baked goods, flowers, candles, and art. Food trucks provided a variety of culinary delights, while live music added to the festive atmosphere. Children enjoyed playing in the gazebo area, and families took advantage of the opportunity to relax and socialize.
The market is free to attend and open to all. For more information on becoming a vendor or performer, or to learn more about the event, visit the Mingle on the Square Facebook page or email [email protected].
