Saturday, just after 5 pm an 18-wheeler was traveling northbound on I 59 and flipped over just before Exit 11. The highway was completely shut down northbound as the 18-wheeler landed on its passenger side across the northbound lanes blocking anyone from being able to go around.
By almost 8:00 PM Emergency Personnel had the fast lane open where traffic could start moving. However, the highway was shut down for so long that they had to send law enforcement to wake up some drivers to tell them they could finally move their vehicle.
