Grammy Audio: Disturbed Talks About New Producer

Disturbed is gunning for its first-ever Grammy Award this weekend. "Bad Man," a single from the group's 2022 album "Divisive," is nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, which take place Sunday, February 4th in Los Angeles. Disturbed has been nominated twice before, in 2009 and 2017, but did not win either time. "Bad Man" is the second single released from the album and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart while two others, "Hey You" and "Unstoppable," reached No. 1.

Guitarist Dan Donegan tells us that a major factor in "Divisive's" success was new producer Drew Fulk, who before Disturbed had worked with Papa Roach, Pop Evil, Motionless in White, Bullet For My Valentine, Bad Wolves and other:

“Every day it just felt like a new…To allow somebody into the band, it's like allowing another guy to join the band with us, and to build that trust it just came. Every day working with Drew I just felt this great bond and great understanding, and it was just motivating." SOUNDCUE :22

"Divisive" debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and at No. 1 on the Top Alternative Albums, Top Hard Rock Albums and Digital Albums charts.

Disturbed is currently on tour and next plays Friday, Feb. 2, in Kansas City. The group also has Knotfest dates during March in Australia and will be part of the Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival events during May in the U.S.
