Daryl Hall To Stream New Episode Of ‘Live From Daryl’s House

A special episode of Daryl Hall's “Live From Daryl's House” begins streaming on Wednesday, Nov. 15, when Hall welcomes King Crimson leader Robert Fripp to the show for a rare chat and performance. Though it may seem like an odd pairing on paper the two have history together. Hall appeared on Fripp's “Exposure” album in 1979, and Fripp produced Hall's first solo album, 1980's “Sacred Songs.” Hall tells us the two connected during the 70s and found it easy to work together, even if others felt it was a strange pairing:

“In an age of compartmentalization that was the 70s it was definitely an eyebrow-raiser, but, y'know, we got along. We were friends before we tried making music. The idea was, 'We're friends. OK, why don't we try, why don't we do something together and see what happens?' I was intrigued, as he was in putting two sort of different histories together, but what we have in common is sort of a musical, advanced musical abilities, especially back then.” : 38 OC: back then

“Sacred Songs” only reached No. 58 on the Billboard 200 chart but was critically acclaimed, as was Fripp's “Exposure.”
“Live From Daryl's House” returned on November 1st after a five-year absence, now streaming via Hall's dedicated YouTube channel. Squeeze's Glen Tilbrook and Blackberry Smoke's Charlie Starr have already appeared this season, while Fripp's appearance will be followed by Andy Grammer on November 22nd, Lisa Loeb on November 29th and Howard Jones on December 6th.
