Slash is showing off his comedic side in a new commercial for Capital One Bank. Consequence.net reported the Guns N' Roses guitarist appears in the 30-second clip, which demonstrates how easy it is to bank at Capitol One. The commercial features him auditioning for a band and playing the intro to “Sweet Child O' Mine” in front of his downhearted competition — only to be told “You're in” — after which a happy Slash replies, simply, “Oh, cool.”
Although considered among the top guitar icons for over 35 years, Slash told us a while back that he prefers being in a band as opposed to a solo “guitar hero” type: “I'm a band guy. I've been in a band since I was 16 years old, I guess. So I like being in a band, I think that a group of musicians working, interacting together can come up with amazing material and so on and so forth.”
Guns N' Roses kicks off their 16-date South American tour on September 1st, in Manaus, Brazil at Arena da Amazonia.
