On November 8th, Bruce Springsteen will once again headline the annual "Stand Up For Heroes" benefit taking place this year at Manhattan's at Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Deadline.com reported in addition to Springsteen and Jon Stewart, who appears every year, this year's comedy event will also feature Jim Gaffigan, Nate Bargatze, Grace Gaustad, Nikki Glaser, Sing Harlem, and Donnell Rawlings, with more performers still to be announced.

The event kicks off the annual New York Comedy Festival, and is but one of over 100 performances held across New York City between November 8th and 14th.

Bruce Springsteen has long been a supporter of the U.S.-based "Stand Up For Heroes" benefit, serving the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which provides aid to those who have sustained the "hidden injuries of war," and has raised over $60 million and helped over one million veterans, service members, and their families since it began.

Bruce Springsteen has long maintained that his live performances are the backbone of his career, which connects him not only to the audience and his bandmates, but ultimately to himself: ["I knew that the most important thing to me was when I walked out — whether it was in a little bar on any stage, how it made me feel. Because I wanna do — find some way in. Some way to be a part of, I guess, a community that was either really there or that I imagined. That I dreamt of."] SOUNDCUE (:18 OC: . . . I dreamt of)
