For 45 years Carlos Santana has continued to broaden his fan base by evolving as a musician and a performer and feels it's a blessing to have the chance to move people through his art: “It's a real honor to be of service. Music truly is a spiritual force that brings harmony, beauty, class, grace, (and) excellence to this planet, that we need so much. It also accentuates faith.”

Carlos Santana told us he feels a spiritual need to help people through his music: “To me, the purpose of music is not only to entertain or to do certain things to people, but mainly to raise people's consciousness, 'cause if you can do that, then it's worth it. If everything that's been given to you, you use it for the highest good of all people — to raise people's consciousness — it's worth it. Otherwise, it's a complete waste.”
