It is with great sadness that the family of Paula Jeanne “Tanner” Ross, left peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, February 11, 2019 at her residence at the age of 80. Mrs. Ross was surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.

She was born to the late Paul H. Tanner & Elsie O. “Carroll” Tanner on March 7, 1938 in Cordele, Georgia. Paula was a fun-loving, warm-hearted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, cousin, and aunt. She was very caring and her family always came first. Paula was a member of Ft. Loudon State Park in Vonore, Tennessee and her passion, besides her family, was doing living history, making crafts, reading, and sewing. She was full of life and would bring a smile to everyone she met and she had the courage and strength of the bravest warrior. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Ross, Sr., & brother, Joel T. Tanner. Paula will always be loved and missed by many, but never forgotten.

Paula is survived by her daughters, Debi Woods, Cindy Banta, & Dawn (James) Pyron; son, George, Jr. (Connie) Ross, & Donnie (Jennifer) Ross; adopted children, Annie, Marcus, David & John Williamson; 14 grandsons, 7 granddaughters, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; two nieces and one nephew.

There will be no formal service and flowers need not be sent. Online condolences may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
