On December 5, 2022, Wanda Jean Buchanan Hilley left this world for her heavenly home at the age of 81. Wanda loved her home and her family above all else; no one ever left her home hungry! She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and lover of life. She and the love of her life, Talvis Fran Hilley, were married for 62 years, most of which were spent in Trenton, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM ET on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA. Burial will follow Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 until the service hour.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ephriam Shadrack and Ida Carroll Buchanan; siblings, Lester Buchanan, Chester Buchanan, E.S. Buchanan Jr, Ruth Schrader, Jewell Heiser, and Ida Cooper.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Talvis Fran Hilley; children, Talvis Wayne (Doris Durham) Hilley and Angela Hilley (Ernest Younce); sisters, Deloris Smyth and Virginia Joiner; granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Hilley (William McBee); several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
