May 21, 1951 - December 9, 2021
December 9, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Wanda, Tiny, NaNa, Moma, Sister.
These are some of the names that her family and friends knew her by in her life. Wanda was a
hard worker from early years of hauling produce to helping her husband tend the crop fields.
She loved to cook for her family and at one point in her life she owned a small restaurant in
Hammondville that she was successful at for some time. She felt strongly that spending time
with her grandbabies was more precious than her dream of owning her own business and
decided to give it up and to make memories in the kitchen with her family.
Her grandchildren often share stories of “baking” with NaNa when they visited and talk about
how unforgettable those moments were for them and how many attempts it took to get the recipe
just right for the no bake cookies.
Wanda loved spending time with each of her 4 children so much that she made time to do things
with them that they enjoyed doing whatever that may be. Her adventurous spirit led her to try
new things and pick up new hobbies in order for her to spend time with her kids and grandkids.
To her, the sky was the limit and there wasn't anything that she was afraid to try as long as she
was in the presence of her family.
Mrs. Daniels loved her Bible and she enjoyed going to church with her kids and grandkids when
she was able and could often be found surrounded by people that needed the comfort and
wisdom that she was able to give to them in their time of need.
Wanda was preceded in death by Donnie “Biscuit” Daniels, her father-Melvin Porter, her
Mother-Nellie Porter, brothers- J.D, Wendell, Therman(Cotton), and Leon Porter, and sisters-
Linda Faye Porter and Evelyn Tishaw.
Her Survivors are Sisters- Arthell Johnson and Teresa Young, sons Donald (Sonya) Daniels,
Mitchell Daniels, Harold (Stacie) Daniels and daughter- Christy Ellis. Numerous nieces,
nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
