Virginia Ferguson Stevenson, 96, of Trenton, GA, began her celebration with Jesus early on June 13, 2022.

Virginia was a founding member of New Home Baptist Church and worked as a hairdresser in Trenton for many years. She was also a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Gideon’s. Virginia loved to travel and had many adventures. Her hospitality was unrivaled. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.A. & Eula Stallings, first spouse, Eldridge Ferguson, grandson, Ben Gibson, sister, Hazel Dunn, great-grandson, Chandler Wallace, second spouse, Jim Stevenson, and son-in-law, Ron Gibson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pat (Verdell) McBryar, Martha “Marti” Gibson, & Brent (Jackie) Ferguson; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and more extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18th at 2:00 p.m. at New Home Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Wooten, Rev. Josh Parham, & Rev. Horace Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Gideons at P.O. Box 1309, Trenton, GA, New Home Baptist Church, or the charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home & Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the church.
