Thelma Case Trask
March 18, 1927 - September 13, 2023
Thelma was born in Trenton, Georgia, March 18, 1927. She was born again in July of 1964. She and James M. (Tubby) Case were married in 1948. She was mother of six children, grandmother of 14, great-grandmother of 24 and great-great-grandmother of 4. Thelma loved gardening and being outside. She enjoyed sharing her love of the Lord with everyone and especially loved working in children’s ministry. She led Good News Clubs at her home for Child Evangelism Fellowship and worked with Calvary Baptist Church in the Bus Ministry, as a Sunday School teacher and in the Junior Church where she was like a mother to many children who attended.
After losing her husband, Tubby, to cancer in 1985, Thelma married George Trask in 2002. Upon doing so, she gained 5 children, 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. George and Thelma enjoyed working at Sand Mountain Bible Camp, assisting with meal preparation, and keeping the flower beds beautiful.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Jack Pryor, grandson, Michael McMahan, brother, Charles Pryor, sister, Grace Pryor Kervin, daughter-in-law, Jackie Case, and son-in-law, David Godsey. She is survived by her husband, George, and her children, Larry (Louise) Case, Theresa (Bill) Gearrin, Bob (Lynda) Case, Donna Godsey, Phyllis (Mike) McMahan, and Jack (Rhonda) Case, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
