Oma Ruth White, 90, of Bryant, AL passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM ET on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Minister Charles Cochran and Brother David Marona officiating. She will be laid to rest at Bryant Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 11 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
Ruth was born April 21, 1932 to the late Andy and Ella Mae Cooper Hicks. She was a wonderful cook and canned the vegetables from her garden. Ruth was also an excellent seamstress and made baby quilts for each of her grandchildren. She loved her family and her cat “Baby”. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Left to treasure her memories include her children, Shelia Bozarth, Teresa (Roy) Brazier, Dora Lee Lowrey, Debbie (Wayne) Hawkins, Pamela (Ricky) Sartin, Larry White, Jeff (Audra) White, and Alan White; siblings, Ricky (Tiny) Hicks, David Hicks, Hazel (Robby) Robertson; grandchildren, Greg (Jamie) White, Chris (Abby) White, Jimmy Hardison, Lee Ann (Michael) Guffey, Chad (Kelli) Hawkins, Ashley (Sean) Hawkins, Jeffrey (Dawn) Hawkins, Stacey (Lora Lee) Hawkins, Chelsea (Michael) Crane, Adam (Brittany) Bozarth, Joseph Brazier, Rachel (Jon) Cochran, Dusty White, and Garrett White; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James Raymond White; children, Linda White, Gary White; and siblings, Melba Cookston, Velma Campbell, Glen Hicks and Joyce McGuire.
