the week of Thanksgiving at home with those he held most dear.

Mr. McDaniel was the first born son of Roy Leon McDaniel and Martha Darlene Smith. He was
born in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on July 31, 1970. Throughout his life, “Chip” proudly called
many areas of the Tennessee Valley home, but especially treasured his days living on Sand

“Chip” was an empathetic soul with a compassionate heart. His knack for bringing people
together provided him with family and friends from all walks of life. He was known for his bold
personality, caring nature, and ability to make people laugh.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Arthur Hughes Smith (2003), father Roy Leon
McDaniel (2010), and grandmother Katherine Bernice Smith (2018). His memory will live on
through his mother Martha Darlene Smith, siblings George Clinton McDaniel, Toni Springman,
and Eton Kirby, sons Noah Clayton McDaniel, Nathaniel Seth McDaniel, and Isaiah Ford
McDaniel, his granddaughter Charleigh Elizabeth McDaniel, as well as many cousins, nieces,
nephews, and other extended family.
