Rosa “ Rose “ Elizabeth Bennett
November 20, 1935 - October 24, 2022

Rosa “ Rose “ Elizabeth Bennett, 86, of Whiteside, Tennessee, joined our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 24, 2022.

She was proceeded in death by parents Johnny and Hattie Pearl Boatfield, her husband Harvey Leon Bennett, her daughters Teresa Ann Keahey and Alice Greenrock, as well as several brothers and sisters. Survivors include daughters Angela Lynn Childress, Kimberly Ann White, and Deborah Long, son John Ford, sister Kathleen Vaughn, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Rose was an amazing daughter, wife, mother, and Nanny. She was a member of Whiteside Baptist Church where she spent many years singing hymns and praising our Lord. Throughout her years she raised many children who came through her door as well as her own children and grandchildren. She devoted her life to being a housewife, where she could spend every minute with her children and grandchildren.

Rose enjoyed many things in her life. She never missed a Tennessee Vol’s game and would be caught cheering and clapping with every point scored. She loved Sunday nights where she would test her luck at the local Bingo Hall. When she wasn’t doing those things she was at home singing and dancing with her grandchildren and teaching them so many things only a Nanny could teach.

With the outpouring of love she gave, we ask everyone to join us to remember the woman who was Nanny Rose to so many. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 2:00 pm-8:00 pm eastern time at Ryan Funeral Home. We ask family and friends to join us at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Service will begin at 1:00 p.m.. We ask all friends and family to join us for her graveside burial following the service at Hooker Cemetery in Hooker Georgia. We welcome all those who loved her to join us in remembrance.
