Richard Earl VannBryant, AL

March 20, 1936 - August 6, 2022
Richard Earl Vann, was born March 20th, 1936 in Bryant, AL to Wendell and Lois Vann. He died on August 6th, 2022 at 86 years young.
Richard was a well- loved staple in the community that you would often find playing cards and cracking jokes at the local senior center. He enjoyed music and was able to play multiple instruments. Richard was one of the hardest working people you could meet, and was a member of the Iron Workers Local 704. He always made time for family and friends and was always ready to go on another adventure even if it was just to carry Lucille’s tripod. He was never one to meet a stranger and enjoyed going to new places, meeting new people and having new experiences. Above all else Richard loved his family most.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Wilma Dalton and Beatrice Smith, as well as brother Eugene Vann. He leaves behind his brothers John Vann, Garvin Vann, Jerry Vann and David Vann; his wife, Lucille Vann; sons, Richard Vann Jr. and Thomas Vann; daughters-in-law JoAnn Vann and Cindy Vann; granddaughter, April Humbred; grandson-in-law Jon Humbred and great-granddaughter, Joslyn Humbred.
Private family graveside services were held Monday, August 8th at Reeves Cemetery.
