Patsy Ruth McKaig, age 86, passed away December 19, 2020. We have never met someone that has loved her family as fiercely as she. She would stand up for them without question, fight for them with no hesitation, and never minced words to tell you how they deserved to be treated. Everyone seemed to know her and she always knew everyone and if she didn’t, well she was going to.

She made the best chicken pot pies and peach cobblers. She loved our family, always made time for us, and would show up at all the games and parades. This woman was magic. She has shown us how we are to love our family, what true friendship looks like and how we shouldn’t tolerate anything we know we don’t deserve.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard McKaig; daughter Kim Wilson.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Hal (Susan) McKaig; grandchildren Kevin (Brooke) Wilson, Kerry (Kristin) Wilson, Kristin (Nick) Wilson, Josh (Sara) McKaig; Lauren (Andrew) Jones; fifteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

She was a blessing and we are better people because of her. She will be missed everyday by us all. Yet we are excited for her knowing she has finally been reunited with the loved ones she has missed for so long. We love you, “Mom”.

Private graveside services will be held at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
