Major Grant “M.G.” BaileyTrenton, GA

MG Bailey, 91, of Trenton, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at his home. Mr. Bailey served as a Sargeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was the recipient of two Bronze Stars. He was retired from Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise and preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Martha Elizabeth Hicks, his parents, General Major Augustus Bailey & Bertha Athaline Roden, and eight siblings.

Survivors include his daughters, Sue (Tony) Smalley of Trenton & Veronica Sain of Ringgold; son, Larry (Liz) Bailey of Grand Bay, AL; grandchildren, Elizabeth Bailey, Christopher Sain, Jesse Sain, Josh Smalley, Billy Abline, Nicole Abline, & Jessica Bellamy; several great-grandchildren.

Private interment will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
