Mary Lila Bradford Adkins of New Salem, GA passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the age of 91. Lila was born April 29, 1930 in Ascalon, GA to the late Claude and Ella Hise Bradford. She loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Lila was an accomplished seamstress and quilter who enjoyed working in her yard and tending the flowers. She was a member of New Salem Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Duell “Buddy” Adkins and brothers, Arvine, Leo, Omar and Jack Bradford.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Judy (Nikki) Oliver of New Salem, Tina (Eddie) Marable of New Salem, and Tammy (Steve) Johnson of Knoxville, TN; son, Terry (Kathy) Adkins of New Salem; sister, Joyce Tremmier; brother, Gene Bradford; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren..

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 19 at New Salem Methodist Church. She will be laid to rest at Hawkins Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home on Monday, April 18 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and Tuesday at 10:00am at the church.
