Rubye Louise Allison, age 78, passed away on September 4, 2023 at her residence in Bryant, AL.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Louise's life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 1:00 PM ET at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Brother Sam Whited and Brother David Marona will officiate the service. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service. She will be laid to rest at Whited Cemetery.
Born on September 15, 1944, Louise was the beloved daughter of Gordon and Rachel Parker Whited. She lived a life devoted to her family. Louise was known for her exceptional cooking skills, especially her famous chicken and dressing. Additionally, she had an unwavering affection for babies and dedicated countless hours babysitting her nieces and nephews throughout the years.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Allison; sister, Doris Whitehead; and brothers, Andrew and Herschel Whited.
She is survived by her children, Gwen Allison-Wooten, Christy (Mike) Whitaker, and Matthew (Carissa) Allison; brothers, Sam (Nelda) Whited, Ernest (Linda) Whited, Donald (Pat) Whited, and Manuel (Connie) Whited; grandchildren, Jesse Wooten, Courtney (Seth) Owens, Grayson Allison, and Madison Brown; great-grandsons, Ephram Gowens and Elias Owens; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Judy Chisenall, Hannah Garcia, Stacy Flanigan, and the staff at Enhabit Hospice for their compassionate care during Louise’s final days.
