Jerry Devon “Von” Harris, 65, of Higdon, AL, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023.
Von was a loving man with a huge heart who loved to laugh and be around others. He never met a stranger and no one felt like a stranger around him. Above all, we will all miss his infectious laugh and smile.

Preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Reeves Harris; father, Carl Luther Harris; mother, Dorothy Marie (Harris) Prince; step-father, Homer Prince; sister Susie Ann Slay; brother Rickey Harris; step-brothers, Dale Prince; grandparents, Arnold & Lula Mae Daniel; grandparents, John Roscoe & Asenith Ridley Harris.

Survived by his loving wife of seven years, Teresa Harris; daughter, Jamie (Melvin) Cook; grandchildren Dalton, Bailegh, Weber; great-grandchildren, Hinson, Aliyah, Layla; brother, Randall Harris; step-brother Shannon Prince, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 EST on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Deer Head Cove Cemetery in Dekalb County, AL with Rev. Dewayne Moon officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Ryan Funeral Home.
