Eleanor Lois “Ellie” Oberg, 89, of Fort Oglethorpe, GA passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM ET on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Gary Bell officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Maryville, TN.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Ellie was born April 17, 1933 to the late James Howard and Thelma Elfrieda George Murr in Alcoa, TN. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Clyde Oberg Jr; and sisters, Iris Jean Wilson and Jama Ramey.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy (Larry) Stoffel, Lisa (Philip) Bell, and Stephen (Brandy) Oberg; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
