Charles Raymond Howard, 90, of Trenton, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at his home.
Mr. Howard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 2nd Infantry Division, Artillery, during the Korean Conflict. His passion was tinkering around on some project he was working on or working in his yard. Our dad taught us to work hard, love each other, and to always be there for each other. He loved his Carver family along with their spouses like they were his brothers and sisters. He also loved his nieces and nephews and their children deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Raymond & Janie Irene Hick Howard, & brothers, James Hale Howard, Kenneth Gordan Howard & John William Howard.
Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Louise Carver Howard; sons, Bobby & Tony Howard; daughter, Carmen (Charles) Howard Godsey; grandson, Brently (Melanie) Cravey; great-grandchildren, Kaylee (Matt) Shull, William, & Priscilla; second great-grandchildren, Samuel & Carmen; grandson, Eric (Jamie) Godsey; great-grandsons, Brycen, Maverick, & Mason.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 31st at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Chuck Carver officiating. Interment will follow in Maxwell Cemetery, Flat Rock, AL with full military honors by American Legion Post #106. Bobby Howard, Tony Howard, Brently Cravey, Eric Godsey, William Cravey, Nicholas Tinker, & Matt Shull will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 30th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
