Both Wooten and Sorrells were transported and booked into the DeKalb County Detention Center.

DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden said of the incident: “I’m glad this pursuit ended without someone getting hurt and a drug dealer has been put behind bars.  When someone is being reckless and showing no regard to others safety, there is no other place for them other than behind bars.”

“A huge thanks to all that assisted in the apprehension of this fleeing drug dealer, DCSO Deputies, Investigators and Mentone PD.  Working together goes a long way and puts the criminals away!”

“God Bless!” Concluded Sheriff Welden.
