Memorial Day Weekend Marks Plenty of Events in Dade County


It’s Memorial Day weekend, and if you’re staying in Dade County there will be plenty of things for you to do.

Starting tonight, the 2022 Senior Class of Dade County High School will be graduating. Graduation will be held in the Dade County High School Gymnasium from 7pm-9pm.

Tomorrow, Sheriff Ray Cross will be holding his SCOPE event on the courthouse square. Sheriff Cross’s Overdose Prevention Event will be held from 10AM to Midnight with entertainment from The Camden Smith Show and Ted Rumley. There will be games, prizes, movies, snacks; as well as drug education and rehabilitation information. SCOPE will be a free event, open to the public. The first 300 people receive a free t-shirt.

On Monday, Memorial Day, the American Legion Post 106 is holding a Memorial Day Service beginning at 10 AM at Veteran’s Park in Trenton.


On Tuesday, May 31st, the Optimist Club is hosting a Community Clean-up Day; starting at City Hall at 10:00 AM
