Law Enforcement Looking for Vehicle that Struck Pedestrian and Fled Scene in Rising Fawn

The following was posted by the Dade County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page asking for citizens’ help who may know the location of a gray Toyota 4Runner or Tacoma that was allegedly used in a hit-and-run on 9/21.

Our Office is requesting help from the public in efforts to identify and locate a vehicle who struck a Pedestrian in Rising Fawn and fled the scene.
The Georgia State Patrol and crash reconstructionist have concluded that a possibly newer model Toyota 4Runner or Tacoma, gray in color is responsible for the incident. The vehicle in question should have noticeable front end damage and a missing passenger side chrome mirror. Release: Dade County Deputies were dispatched on 09/21/2021 at 06:19 a.m. in reference to a male subject who was struck by a vehicle as he was walking on Hwy 11 (1300 Block) in Rising Fawn. The Pedestrian sustained substantial injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Due to the early morning lighting conditions, the pedestrian was unable to provide a clear description of the suspect vehicle. Georgia State Patrol was called to the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident.
