The Dade County School Board met Monday, July 5th, to hold a special Vote for the next Superintendent. As previously reported, the School Board had narrowed down their list of candidates to a sole finalist: Mr. Josh Ingle.

The State of Georgia requires a two week period between the announcement of up to three finalists and the final vote. Predictably, after being announced as the sole contender, Ingle won the vote unanimously. The School Board offered him a 2-year contract, according to Chairperson Carolyn Bradford.

Ingle has held the Superintendent seat since Dr. Jan Harris concluded her tenure in December of 2020.
