DCS TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON
Last week, Dade County Schools celebrated Teacher / Employee Appreciation with a Chick-Fil-A lunch. DCS appreciates ALL of its employees and their commitment to the students of Dade County Schools.

 

DES FIELD DAY A SUCCESS
Dade Elementary School held their annual field day event on Friday. The weather was beautiful, unlike the day before, and the kids had so much fun! DES Principal, Ms. Melissa Valtierra would like to thank Coach Justin Page and Coach Andy Williams for organizing a successful event! Ms. Valtierra extends a SPECIAL thanks to the parent volunteers for their assistance!
DMS 8th GRADE DANCE A SUCCESSFUL EVENT
Dade Middle School held their annual eighth-grade dance last weekend. The 2024 theme was ‘A Night In New York.’ Ms. Beeler and Ms. Bradford extend a SPECIAL THANKS to the parent volunteers who assisted with the event!
DCHS STUDENTS RECOGNIZED AT LOOKOUTS GAME
These DCHS students were recently recognized as “most improved” at the Chattanooga Lookouts game.
A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES
The Davis Elementary Chorus was in action last week and presented “A Night At The Movies!” The Davis Chorus is led by Ms. Jessica Howard and Ms. Brandi Steele! 
DCHS Track Athletes Qualify for GHSA 4 x 200

Congrats to Braylon Sullivan, Jace Anderson, Halen Chaney, and Solomon Doe, DCHS Track & Field athletes, for qualifying for the GHSA 4 X 200 race. They competed this past Saturday at Barron Stadium in Rome, GA, and finished 8th place at 1:32.25. In addition, Jace Anderson finished 5th in the 300-meter hurdle race with a personal record time of 39.36.
DCHS GOLFERS QUALIFY FOR STATE
The DCHS boys golf team recently qualified for the state tournament, shooting a 376 at Meadow Lake Golf Course in Rome, GA. The Wolverines were led by Mason Weathers, who shot an 80. Lucas Weathers shot a 96, Kooper Knight shot a 99, Ethan Williams shot a 101, Heath Walthers shot a 106, and Eli Ryan shot a 116. The Wolverines will represent DCHS at the state tournament on Monday, May 20, and Tuesday, May 21, in Statesboro, GA.

The Dade County Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Dade County Board of Education building located at 52 Tradition Lane Trenton, GA. 30752.
